Väiski on jo aivan nurkan takana ja kesän huippuhetkeä täytyy odottaa enää vain hetki!
Tästä viestistä löytyy tärkeimmät asiat, jotka kannattaa ottaa huomioon leirillä ja leirille valmistautuessa. Tarkempaa tietoa leiristä löytyy leiriorganisaation lähettämästä leirikirjeestä sekä Väiskin verkkosivuilta!
Kuulumme leirillä KaLaKa-savuun ja olemme osana alaleiri Hiitolaa.
Kulkeminen
Yhteiskuljetukset lähtevät ja palaavat leiriltä Omnia Kirkkokatu 16 parkkipaikkalta (os. Kirkkoväärtintie, 02770 Espoo).
Bussit eivät odota yksittäisiä myöhästelijöitä, joten kaikkien kyytiin haluavien on hyvä tulla hyvissä ajoin paikalle. Tavarat tulee pakata niin, että jokainen pystyy ne oman savun alueelle kantamaan.
Yhteiskuljetusten aikataulu
- Lähtö pitkälle leirille ja seikkailijaleirille tapahtuu torstaina 16.7. kello 08:00.
- Paluu seikkailijaleiriltä tapahtuu maanantaina 20.7. kello 13:00–14:00.
- Paluu pitkältä leiriltä tapahtuu torstaina 23.7. kello 16:00–17:00.
Saapuminen omalla autolla
Omalla autolla leiriin tuleville on oma parkkipaikka, joka sijaitsee aivan leiriportin välittömässä läheisyydessä. Pysäköintilupia myydään ennakkoon Väiskin verkkokaupan kautta.
Mikäli leiriläinen saapuu sovitusti leirille omalla kyydillä, voi tavarat sekä partiolaisen jättää leiriportille. Leiriportilla ei ole pysäköintimahdollisuutta.
Mikäli osallistuja saapuu tai lähtee leiriltä muuten kuin yhteiskuljetuksella, tulee hänen ehdottomasti ilmoittaa tästä leirillä leiritoimistoon.
Muistathan myös ilmoittaa savunjohtaja Toukolle (p. 045 209 3886) jos tulette leirille sovitusti muina omilla kyydeillä ja aikataululla.
Pakkaaminen
Ikäkausikohtaiset pakkauslistat löytyvät Väiskin verkkosivuilta
Pakkauslistan ulkopuolelta mukaan kannattaa ottaa myös rannekello!
Pakkaattehan kaikki tavarat rinkkaan ja päiväreppuun, ettekä ota mukaan irtonaisia pusseja, sillä ne katoavat helposti jo bussimatkan aikana. Muistattehan myös nimikoida kaikki varusteenne ja vaatteenne!
Puhelimet
Väiskillä samoajat ja heitä vanhemmat saavat käyttää puhelimia vapaasti. Muille puhelimelle ei ole tarvetta (poislukien haikin turvapuhelimet).
Samoajat ja heitä vanhemmat (sekä haikin turvapuhelimet) pystyvät lataamaan leirillä omia matkalatureitaan. Omaa puhelinta ei voi ladata suoraan ja latauskapasiteettia on rajallisesti.
Viestintä leirin ja kotiväen välillä
Viestintä leiriläisten ja kotiväen välillä onnistuu nuoren omien johtajien tai savunjohtajien kautta, ja sudenpennuilla, seikkailijoilla ja tarpojilla ei tarvitse (ja kannata) olla puhelinta mukana.

Etenkin ensimmäisinä päivinä kannattaa harkita ennen kuin ottaa yhteyden omaan lapseen, sillä se voi lisätä koti-ikävän riskiä. Leiri onkin myös erinomainen mahdollisuus irtaantua arjesta ja nauttia metsäympäristöstä.
Jos kuitenkin juttelette lapsenne kanssa suoraan, ja joitain huolia, tai esimerkiksi halu lähteä kotiin, ilmenee, ilmoitattehan näistä johtajille, sillä he pystyvät vaikuttamaan asiaan leirillä.
Kotiväki voi myös lähettää leiriläisille postia lähettämällä sähköpostia osoitteeseen posti.vaiski@partio.fi. Kirjoita vastaanottajan etu- ja sukunimi ja lippukunta sekä sähköpostin otsikkoon että viestin alkuun, muuten posti ei löydä perille!

Leiriarki
Leirillä maksaminen
Leirillä maksuvälineinä toimivat vain korttimaksu sekä CoreGo-ranneke, johon ladataan rahaa. Jokainen ilmoittautunut/huoltaja on saanut ohjeet rahanlataukseen sähköpostitse
Kuvauskielto
Mikäli ilmoittautuessa on ilmoittanut kuvauskiellosta, annetaan osallistujalle leiriin saapuessa kuvauskieltopinssi merkiksi kuvauskiellosta. Pinssin saa omasta savusta. Pinssiä tulee pitää huivissa näkyvissä koko leirin ajan. Leirin loppuessa pinssi palautetaan savuun.
Löytötavarat
Leirillä löytötavarat kootaan leiritoimiston yhteydessä olevaan löytötavaratelttaan. Voit tulla etsimään kadonnutta tavaraasi toimistolta sen aukioloaikoina. Arvokkaat tavarat säilytetään toimistossa lukkojen takana, ja niitä luovutetaan vain tarkkoja tuntomerkkejä vastaan. Jos löydät leirialueelta vailla omistajaa olevan tavaran, voit tuoda sen leiritoimistolle.
Majoittuminen
Väiskillä majoittuminen tapahtuu savussa oman lippukuntansa kanssa. Riippumatoille sopivia paikkoja on leirialueella rajallisesti, joten jokaisen, joka suunnittelee nukkuvansa riippumatossa täytyy varustautua sellaisin varustein, joilla pystyy tarvittaessa nukkumaan myös teltassa.
Omille teltoille ei leirialueen koon vuoksi ole muutamaan poikkeusta lukuunottamatta tilaa.
Turvallisuus ja säännöt
Väiskin turvallisuusohjeet ja säännöt löytyvät Väiskin verkkosivuilta osoitteesta https://väiski.fi/leirilaisenkirja/index.html. Tutustuttehan niihin etukäteen itsenäisesti tai yhdessä huoltajan kanssa!
Huomioittehan leirivalmisteluissa myös seuraavat leiriorganisaation ohjeet:
- Jäykkäkouristus- ja tuhkarokkorokotteen on oltava leirin aikana voimassa
- Suosittelemme myös TBE-rokotetta eli ”punkkirokotetta”
- Piilolinssien käyttö leirillä ei ole suositeltavaa suuren silmätulehdusriskin takia

Kauka-Kuutit Väiski 2026
Väiski is just around the corner and the highlight of the summer is only moments away!
This message contains the most important things to keep in mind at the camp and when preparing for it. More detailed information about the camp can be found in the camp letter sent by the camp organisation and on the Väiski website!
At the camp we belong to the KaLaKa subcamp and are part of the Hiitola subcamp.
Getting there
Shared transport will depart from and return to the camp from the Omnia Kirkkokatu 16 car park (address: Kirkkoväärtintie, 02770 Espoo).
The buses will not wait for individual latecomers, so everyone wishing to travel by shared transport should arrive in good time. Belongings must be packed so that everyone is able to carry them to their own subcamp area.
Shared transport schedule
- Departure for the full camp and the Adventurer camp takes place on Thursday 16.7. at 08:00.
- Return from the Adventurer camp takes place on Monday 20.7. at 13:00–14:00.
- Return from the full camp takes place on Thursday 23.7. at 16:00–17:00.
Arriving by own car
There is a dedicated car park for those arriving by their own car, located right next to the camp gate. Parking permits are sold in advance through the Väiski online shop.
If a camp participant arrives at the camp by their own transport as agreed, belongings and the scout can be dropped off at the camp gate. There is no parking available at the camp gate.
If a participant arrives at or departs from the camp other than by shared transport, they must inform the camp office at the camp without fail.
Please also remember to inform subcamp leader Touko (tel. 045 209 3886) if you are arriving at the camp by your own transport and on your own schedule as agreed.
Packing
Age section specific packing lists can be found on the Väiski website
In addition to the packing list, it is also worth bringing a wristwatch!
Please pack all your belongings into your backpack and day pack, and avoid bringing loose bags, as these are easily lost even during the bus journey. Please also remember to label all your equipment and clothing!
Phones
At Väiski, Explorers and older age sections may use their phones freely. Others have no need for a phone (excluding safety phones for hikes).
Explorers and older age sections (as well as hike safety phones) can charge their own travel chargers at the camp. Personal phones cannot be charged directly and charging capacity is limited.
Communication between the camp and families at home
Communication between camp participants and their families at home is possible through the young person’s own leaders or subcamp leaders. Cub Scouts, Adventurers and Trackers do not need (or benefit from) having a phone with them.

Especially during the first few days, it is worth thinking carefully before contacting your child directly, as this can increase the risk of homesickness. The camp is also an excellent opportunity to disconnect from everyday life and enjoy the forest environment.
If you do speak with your child directly and any concerns arise — such as a wish to come home — please inform the leaders, as they are able to help with the situation at the camp.
Families at home can also send post to camp participants by emailing posti.vaiski@partio.fi. Please write the recipient’s first and last name and local group both in the email subject line and at the beginning of the message, otherwise the post will not reach the right person!

Camp life
Paying at the camp
The only accepted payment methods at the camp are card payment and the CoreGo wristband, onto which money can be loaded. Every registered participant/guardian has received instructions for loading money by email.
Photography restrictions
If a photography restriction was indicated during registration, the participant will be given a photography restriction badge upon arrival at the camp as a sign of the restriction. The badge can be collected from your own subcamp. The badge must be worn visibly on the scarf throughout the camp. At the end of the camp, the badge is returned to the subcamp.
Lost property
Lost property at the camp is collected in the lost property tent located next to the camp office. You can come and look for lost items at the office during its opening hours. Valuable items are kept locked in the office and will only be handed over to those who can provide an accurate description. If you find an item without an owner on the camp site, you can bring it to the camp office.
Accommodation
At Väiski, accommodation takes place in the subcamp together with your own local group. Suitable spots for hammocks are limited on the camp site, so anyone planning to sleep in a hammock must also be equipped to sleep in a tent if necessary.
Due to the size of the camp site, there is no space for personal tents with a few exceptions.

Väiski’s safety guidelines and rules can be found on the Väiski website at https://väiski.fi/leirilaisenkirja/index.html. Please familiarise yourself with them in advance, either independently or together with a guardian!
Please also take note of the following instructions from the camp organisation when preparing for the camp:
- Tetanus and measles vaccinations must be valid during the camp
- We also recommend the TBE vaccine, also known as the ”tick vaccine”
- The use of contact lenses at the camp is not recommended due to the high risk of eye infections
